Legal
Terms of service
The agreement governing use of the Ensemble Weather AI API and website.
Draft — pending legal review
This page states our intended position so the service is transparent about how it works. It has not yet been drafted or reviewed by a lawyer and is not a binding agreement.
Forecasts are probabilistic
The service returns probabilistic forecasts with quantified uncertainty. No forecast is a statement of fact about the future, and the spread we publish is part of the product precisely because outcomes vary.
You are responsible for how you interpret and apply our output within your own systems.
Not for life-safety decisions
Our forecasts supplement but do not replace official warnings issued by the National Weather Service or your national meteorological authority. You must not present our output as an official warning, and you must not rely on it as the sole basis for decisions affecting life or property.
Liability for reliance on the service in life-safety contexts is expressly excluded.
Acceptable use
API keys are issued to a single account and must not be shared or resold. Redistribution of raw forecast data requires a separate agreement.
We may rate-limit or suspend access that threatens the stability of the service for other customers.
Availability
Uptime commitments apply only on plans that include a service level agreement. Free and Builder tiers are provided without an availability guarantee.
